ASHLAND CITY COUNCIL

PLANNING MEETING

NOVEMBER 5, 2007

      The Ashland City Council met for a regular Planning Meeting on November 5, 2007 at 4:00 P.M. with Mayor Terry Turner, Council Members Zeola D. Echols, Bobbie J. Steed, Gail E. Thompson, Rebecca G. Boddie and Mike Beale in attendance. Also present was City Clerk Charles E. Foster, Asst. City Clerk Donna J. Bennett, Maintenance Supervisor Randy Hanners,  Code Enforcement Officer Terry Raughton, Police Chief Benny Davis, Librarian Tina Nolen, Leland Steed, Ed Pruet and Abby Pruet of the Clay Times-Journal.

     Fire Chief Chad Toland was absent.

    Discussion was held on the proposed Business License Ordinance, water restrictions, ownership of an alleyway located on the east side of the square, placement of a “No right turn on red” at the intersection of 9 South and 77 North, monies available from East Alabama Planning Commission, putting up the Christmas decorations, placement of a sign at the Industrial Park and parking problems on the courthouse square.

    There was no business conducted at this meeting.

     Meeting was adjourned until 5:00 P.M. when the Regular Council meeting would begin.
