ASHLAND CITY COUNCIL

PLANNING MEETING

OCTOBER 1, 2007

      The Ashland City Council met for a regular Planning Meeting on October 1, 2007 at 4:00 P.M. with Mayor Terry Turner, Council Members Zeola D. Echols, Bobbie J. Steed, Gail E. Thompson, Rebecca G. Boddie and Mike Beale in attendance. Also present was City Clerk Charles E. Foster, Asst. City Clerk Donna J. Bennett, Maintenance Supervisor Randy Hanners,  Code Enforcement Officer Terry Raughton, Police Chief Benny Davis, Abby Pruet of the Clay Times-Journal and Leland Steed.

     Fire Chief Chad Toland was absent due to family illness.

     Discussion was held on several items including a salary increase for City Clerk Foster that was not listed on the wage increase sheet distributed earlier and the clearing out of the alleyway behind businesses located on the east side of the square.

    There was no business conducted at this meeting.

     Meeting was adjourned until 5:00 P.M. when the Regular Council meeting would begin.
