ASHLAND CITY COUNCIL

PLANNING MEETING

APRIL 21, 2008

      The Ashland City Council met for a regular Planning Meeting on April 21, 2008 at 4:00 P.M. with Mayor Terry Turner, Council Members Zeola D. Echols, Bobbie J. Steed,  Gail E. Thompson, Rebecca G. Boddie and Mike Beale in attendance. Also present was City Clerk Charles E. Foster, Asst. City Clerk Donna J. Bennett, Police Chief Benny Davis, Fire Chief Joel McMath, Code Enforcement Officer Terry Raughton, Maintenance Supervisor Randy Hanners, Lester Robinson, Billy Ballard,  Leland Steed and Abby Pruet of the Clay Times-Journal.                                                             

     Librarian Tina Nolen was absent.

    Discussion was held on the maintenance laborer applications, the roofing of City Hall, funding the Clay County Chamber, landscaping at the Senior Center and the Fire Department, AMIC corrections to be made for insurance purposes.  Several other items were also discussed, but no business was conducted.

     Meeting was adjourned until 5:00 P.M. when the Regular Council meeting would begin.
