ASHLAND CITY COUNCIL

PLANNING MEETING

MARCH 3, 2008

      The Ashland City Council met for a regular Planning Meeting on March 13, 2008 at 4:00 P.M. with Mayor Terry Turner, Council Members Zeola D. Echols, Bobbie J. Steed, Gail E. Thompson, Rebecca G. Boddie and Mike Beale in attendance. Also present was City Clerk Charles E. Foster, Asst. City Clerk Donna J. Bennett, Code Enforcement Officer Terry Raughton, Librarian Tina Nolen, Josh Nelson, Leland Steed and Abby Pruet of the Clay Times-Journal.                                                                  

     Fire Chief Joel McMath, Maintenance Supervisor Randy Hanners and Police Chief Benny Davis were absent.

    Discussion was held on the release of appropriation to the Clay County Chamber of Commerce, letter directed to the County employees who park on the square, Josh Nelson spoke on behalf of Fire Chief McMath with items to be replaced or repaired at the Fire Station, a sink hole at the walking trail, Girl Scouts meeting place, Wynn Building roof, permission for Jolynn Weems to use the City credit card and tax exempt card at Walmart to purchase needed items at the Senior Center, Internet service at the Senior Center and Fire Station and other items.

    There was no business conducted at this meeting.

     Meeting was adjourned until 5:00 P.M. when the Regular Council meeting would begin.
