ASHLAND CITY COUNCIL

PLANNING MEETING

FEBRUARY 4, 2008

      The Ashland City Council met for a regular Planning Meeting on February 4, 2008 at 4:00 P.M. with Mayor Terry Turner, Council Members Zeola D. Echols, Bobbie J. Steed, Gail E. Thompson, Rebecca G. Boddie and Mike Beale in attendance. Also present was City Clerk Charles E. Foster, Asst. City Clerk Donna J. Bennett, Maintenance Supervisor Randy Hanners, Police Chief Benny Davis, Code Enforcement Officer Terry Raughton, Abby Pruet of the Clay Times-Journal, Jennifer Edwards of WCKF Radio, Billy Ballard and Leland Steed.                                                                       

    Librarian Tina Nolen and Fire Chief Chad Toland were absent.

    Discussion was held on the new Policy and Procedures Manual, approving attendance of Mayor and/or Council Members for conventions, etc., replacement of the roof at the Wynn Building (JBWT to be contacted concerning an Architect), ordinance setting salaries for the Mayor and Council Members and other items concerning the upcoming election.

    There was no business conducted at this meeting.

     Meeting was adjourned until 5:00 P.M. when the Regular Council meeting would begin.
