ASHLAND CITY COUNCIL

PLANNING MEETING

JANUARY 22, 2008

      The Ashland City Council met for a regular Planning Meeting on January 22, 2008 at 4:00 P.M. with Mayor Terry Turner, Council Members Zeola D. Echols, Bobbie J. Steed, Gail E. Thompson, Rebecca G. Boddie and Mike Beale in attendance. Also present was City Clerk Charles E. Foster, Asst. City Clerk Donna J. Bennett, Pattye Monroe and Karen Meek of the Clay County Chamber of Commerce, Abby Pruet of the Clay Times-Journal, Johnny Elmore and Terri Tubbs of WCKF Radio and Leland Steed.                                                                                  

    Maintenance Supervisor Randy Hanners, Code Enforcement Officer Terry Raughton, Police Chief Benny Davis, Librarian Tina Nolen and Fire Chief Chad Toland were absent.

    Discussion was held on Blue Cross and Blue Shield insurance for retirees with the Ashland Housing Authority, Lineville Housing Authority and East Central Gas, the purchase of curtains and other items for the Senior Center, wireless or DSL Internet service for the Senior Center and other items.

    There was no business conducted at this meeting.

     Meeting was adjourned until 5:00 P.M. when the Regular Council meeting would begin.
